Redwood Bonsai Tree - Three (3) Tree Forest Group Large (metasequoia glyptostroboides)
The Dawn Redwood, a native of Manchuria China, is the most thrilling among the Redwoods. Once believed to be extinct, it was rediscovered in the 1940s. This true Redwood is a living fossil, a solitary species from a time when vast forests of these trees existed. The seeds were introduced in the U.S. in 1948, and since then, they have gained popularity as ornamental trees. Their foliage is more delicate than the native Redwood, and they are deciduous. In autumn, the light green sprays turn yellow, then bronze, and fall off, a characteristic only shared with the Larches. This tree is best kept outdoors.
This offering includes a group of three trees, each aged between 5-8 years and standing 22" tall.
This outdoor deciduous bonsai tree has been carefully grown and trained.
A suitable humidity/drip tray is recommended and can be added at a small additional cost. Please note that during late summer (August), the tree may be shipped with mature, transitioning foliage as it prepares for dormancy. It may also be shipped with no foliage during autumn and winter. The tree will emerge from dormancy and re-grow foliage in early Spring.
