Flowering Podocarpus Bonsai Tree with Coiled Trunk (Podocarpus Macrophyllus)
The Podocarpus, also known as the Buddhist Pine or Chinese Yew, is a lush evergreen with sharp, leathery, dark green leaves neatly arranged on rigid, symmetrical branches. This unisexual tree features male flowers in cones and female flowers with cylindrical thickened scales. The fruits are edible, hanging, fleshy, and brightly colored. The new foliage emerges in a light green hue that darkens with age.
This particular tree is trained in the traditional bonsai style, boasting a curved trunk and tiered branches. Despite its slow growth, it thrives exceptionally well indoors.
At 19 years old and measuring 12" x 16" x 17" tall, this indoor flowering bonsai tree has been carefully grown and trained.
It comes potted in an 8" blue lotus-shaped ceramic container with an attached humidity/drip tray. An additional tray can be purchased at a small extra cost.
