Flowering Jaboticaba Large Bonsai Tree (Eugenia Cauliflora)
The Jaboticaba, a native of southern Brazil, is a fascinating member of the Myrtle family and a relative of the Guava. Its unique botanical name 'Cauliflora' signifies its ability to flower and bear fruit directly on the trunk and mature branches.
During its flowering period, the tree becomes a spectacle, covered in clusters of small white flowers across the trunk and branches. These flowers eventually transform into dark berries, which are considered a delicacy. The kernels of these fruits can be cultivated into bonsai, creating beautiful indoor trees.
The tree's bark peels off in curls as the trunk and branches expand, adding to its charm. This 23-year-old, 20-21" tall tree is easy to care for indoors.
A suitable humidity/drip tray is recommended for optimal growth and can be added at a small additional cost.
