Japanese Green Maple Bonsai Tree (acer palmatum 'Mikawa Yatsubusa')
This Japanese Green Maple Bonsai Tree, a grafted multi-branched, compact cultivar, boasts green leaves that grow closely together, overlapping each other like roof shingles. This creates a dense leaf cover on a nearly spherical form, offering a sculptural aesthetic. Come fall, the leaves transform into a brilliant fiery red, providing a dramatic display.
Known for its hardiness and ease of growth, this delicate Maple is a perfect addition to patios, decks, or gardens. It thrives in sunlight, which brings out the best colors in early spring and late into the season. As a deciduous tree, it is best kept outdoors.
At 14 years old and standing 16-17" tall, this bonsai tree has been carefully grown and trained. A suitable humidity/drip tray is recommended and can be added at a small additional cost.
Please note, during late summer (August), the tree may be shipped with mature, turning, and transitioning foliage as it prepares for dormancy. It may also be shipped with no foliage during autumn and winter. Rest assured, the tree will emerge from dormancy and re-grow foliage in early Spring.
