Flowering Podocarpus Bonsai Tree with Coiled Trunk

Commonly known as the Buddhist Pine or Chinese Yew, the Podocarpus Bonsai Tree is a dense evergreen, boasting pointed, leathery, dark green leaves set on stiff, symmetrical branches. This unisexual tree features male flowers in cones and female flowers with cylindrical thickened scales. The fruits are not only edible but also pendulous, fleshy, and brightly colored. The new foliage emerges in a light green hue that darkens with age.

This particular specimen is 19 years old, standing 17" tall and spreading 15" wide. It's been meticulously trained in the traditional bonsai style, showcasing a curved trunk and tiered branches. It thrives indoors, albeit with slow growth.
