Flowering Campeche Bonsai Tree Large (Haematoxylum Campechianum)

The Flowering Campeche Bonsai Tree, scientifically known as Haematoxylum, is a captivating sight with its dark red heartwood. Named after the coastal city of Campeche on the Yucatan Peninsula, this tree is a popular ornamental plant that grows abundantly in Puerto Rico. Its foliage features several pairs of reverse heart-shaped leaflets, varying in color and size from 0.4 inches to 4 inches.

Adorned with yellow, fragrant flowers that bloom throughout the year, this tree is a visual treat. The trunk and branches are thorned, and the wood is heavy, hard, and dense. In Mexico, the wood is often used in herbal medicines, offering natural remedies for ailments like anemia, tuberculosis, and intestinal parasites.

This 12-year-old tree stands 10" - 11" tall and is recommended as an indoor flowering bonsai tree. It has been carefully grown and trained to ensure its beauty and health.

A suitable humidity/drip tray is recommended for this tree, which can be purchased at an additional small cost.
