Flowering Bougainvillea Bonsai Tree (Pink Pixie)

Flowering Bougainvillea Bonsai Tree (Pink Pixie)

The Flowering Bougainvillea Bonsai Tree, also known as the 'Pink Pixie', is a tropical delight from the Americas. Its name pays homage to the navigator Louis Antoine de Bougainville. This bonsai tree is popularly referred to as the 'Paper Flower' due to its delicate deep pink flowers that resemble paper.

The vibrant pink color of the flowers is actually the result of bracts of leaves at the tip of the stems changing color. This bonsai tree thrives in sunny and warm temperatures, making it a perfect indoor companion.

At 42 years old and measuring 18" x 22" x 26" tall, this bonsai tree is a mature and impressive specimen. It has been carefully grown and trained to achieve its current form.

The tree is potted in a 14" brown oval mica container. A suitable humidity/drip tray is recommended for optimal care and can be added at a small additional cost.
