Dwarf Japanese Maple Bonsai Tree (acer palmatum 'Capercis Dwarf')

Dwarf Japanese Maple Bonsai Tree (acer palmatum 'Capercis Dwarf')

The Capercis Dwarf is a stunning Acer Palmatum, known for its palmately lobed leaves. In the spring, it greets you with coral or light pink leaves, which transition to a medium green for the summer. This particular variety is a grafted tree, as its flowers are sterile and do not produce seeds. The small Japanese Maple boasts tiny green leaves and a dense, rounded habit, making it a delightful addition to any outdoor space.

At 48 years old, this bonsai tree measures 19" x 23" x 22" tall. Its golden to crimson fall color is a sight to behold. As a deciduous tree, it is best kept outdoors. It comes potted in a 12" black rectangle mica container. A suitable humidity/drip tray is recommended and can be added at a small additional cost.

During late summer (August), the tree may be shipped with mature, turning, and transitioning foliage as it prepares for dormancy. It may also be shipped with no foliage during autumn and winter. But fear not, as the tree will emerge from dormancy and re-grow foliage in early Spring, ready to impress once again.
