Crimson Queen Japanese Maple Bonsai (Acer palmatum var dissectum 'Crimson Queen')
The Crimson Queen Japanese Maple Bonsai is a low-branching, dwarf variety that boasts a delicate, weeping form. Its foliage maintains a stunning crimson hue throughout the summer, which can transform into a vibrant scarlet in the autumn. This bonsai is deciduous and thrives best outdoors. It's particularly sun-tolerant in cooler regions, where sunlight enhances the intensity of the foliage color.
At 53 years old, this bonsai stands 35" x 40" x 37" tall. It's been meticulously grown and trained to achieve its current form. The bonsai is potted in an 18" brown round drum mica container. To enhance its growth and maintain its health, a suitable humidity/drip tray is recommended, which can be added at an additional cost.
During late summer (August), the bonsai may be shipped with mature, turning, and transitioning foliage. This is a normal, annual process as the tree prepares for dormancy. It may also be shipped with no foliage during autumn and winter. However, come early Spring, the tree will emerge from dormancy and re-grow its foliage.
