Our Architectural Birdhouse is handcrafted of kiln-dried hardwood, exterior grade ply-board and western red cedar or pine shingles for the roof. The finish is a non-toxic, oil-based paint. Our birdhouse is intended for use with wildlife and, therefore, no pressure-treated wood or harmful chemicals have been applied. The cedar shingles will naturally patina to a silvery gray color with sun bleaching. Structure is built with aeration slats for good air circulation. Solid wood with resin detail.

This dwarf Juniper from Japan is the most popular evergreen in the U.S.A. When we think of a traditional bonsai and what it should look like, we think of a "Juniper Procumbens Nana." It is very hardy, long-lived and tolerates many adverse conditions. Trained in the traditional curved style, this is an excellent tree for the beginner.

Image: Flowering Texas Ebony (Pithecolobium Flexicaule)Flowering Texas Ebony (Pithecolobium Flexicaule) - Sale Price: $69.95
Acacia/Mimosa family. Native to Texas and Mexico and is ideal for dry, indoor locations. The short branches are clothed in tiny dark green, bi-pinnate (compound) leaflets and make a wide rounded canopy which casts a filtered shade below. Leaves fold up at night or in subdued light. Touching the leaves does not put it to sleep as in some Mimosa. Short thorns are interspersed among the branches. From June to August is decorated with dense, plume-like spikes of very fragrant, light yellow to white blossoms at the end of its branches. Dark brown woody seed capsules follow the blooms and persist on the tree for weeks. In Mexico these seed pods are eaten and the shells roasted and used as a coffee substitute.

Also knows as Mexicana Ficus. Elongated, light green leaves have a striking resemblance to the popular weeping willow tree. This tree does particularly well indoors in low, moderate or high lighting conditions. The rocks selected for this unusual arrangement are imported and washed in acid making them strikingly unique. We then cut and cement the rocks to one side of the pot, leaving an ample well between them to hold water. A ceramic bridge is cemented to the rocks on either side. A pagoda figurine is also added and cemented to the stone located above the bridge. To complete the scene, we cement a miniature, glazed, mud figurine fisherman overlooking the water holding a fishing pole and fish. On the opposite side of this restful scene, we have selected for planting the ever popular Willow Leaf bonsai. The entire landscape is arranged in an attractive, glazed, imported ceramic container.
